Aye

Aye in Cork is a must-visit spot for incredible food and crafted cocktails, making it a perfect choice for our last dinner in the city. Known for its innovative menu and cozy ambiance, this restaurant delivered bold flavors and unique dishes that left a great impression.

We started the evening with the Tequila Mockingbird, a refreshing cocktail made with tequila, lime, raspberry, coconut, and prosecco. Opting to swap tequila for mezcal added a smoky contrast that balanced the fruity notes beautifully.

For our first appetizer, we ordered the Potato Terrine Bites, featuring crispy, layered potatoes that were perfectly golden and addictive.

Next, we tried one of the standout dishes of the night: the Homemade Gnocchi with sun-dried tomato cream, goat cheese, and pumpkin seeds. While the flavor was rich and well-balanced, we were surprised that it was served cold and weren’t sure if that was intentional or not.

One dish that immediately caught our eye was the Baked Brie Cheese, which arrived warm and melty, paired with shallot jam, relish, and house-made crostini. This combination was a dream for cheese lovers, delivering a perfect balance of savory and sweet flavors.

Since we were still hungry, we finished our meal with the Irish Grilled Ribeye Steak, served with au jus, cured egg yolk, and compound butter. The steak was tender, flavorful, and elevated by the rich butter and perfectly seasoned au jus.
