Chè
Queso, or as they say in Argentina – fundido, on the menu will always be where I direct my eyes. Chè is an Argentinian restaurant in Cincinnati and the first Argentinian food that I have ever tried.
The Chè menu had so many cocktails that looked delicious but being that I look like I’m 19 years old, they wouldn't serve me without my I.D. So, I don't have any reviews for the drinks, but they looked and sounded like they would taste good.
Now, I don’t know if fundido is what they call queso in Argentina, but it was basically the same thing. With the combination of mozzarella, parmesan, cream sauce, chorizo, roasted red pepper, and spicy sauce all baked in a cast-iron skillet, you can’t go wrong with ordering the fundido on the menu. It was so yummy and the waitress bought pita bread to dip into it.
Empanadas are authentic Argentinian food, so I had to try a few of them for dinner. I had never tried empanadas before, but I would describe it as a tasteful, fancy hot pocket. I tried the Cuban, Chicken Salsa, and Korean BBQ empanadas and they were all unique and flavorful. For my side I enjoyed the chimichurri roasted potatoes which were a different but good flavor.
Chè is a restaurant that has a very casual vibe to it. I enjoyed being able to try something new and I was pleased with the different flavors and items that were on the menu. I would love to try more of Chè’s menu and see what else I can find that my taste buds would like.
