Boca
Boca is one of the most beautiful restaurants that I have been to in Cincinnati. With the chandeliers and the beautiful decorations, this place is unbeatable.
My mom and I decided to try Boca before we went to a comedy show, and it did not disappoint. I had been wanting to take my mom there because I knew she would love the entire vibe of the restaurant.
I started the meal with the Ultima Palabra which was, of course, a spicy margarita. My drink had mezcal, jalapeño, poblano, yellow chartreuse, lime, and agave — it was super delicious and spicy.
We decided to order the Pommes Souffles “1949” — a Maisonette Classic, which was basically a french fry without anything in the middle. It was a really tasteful snack and almost was a puff pastry-type texture.
One of the best things that we learned about Boca was that it was a restaurant which used to be called Maisonette, which is where my parents after they got engaged in Cincinnati.
We also ordered the Arpege Salad to start which was delicious and flavorful. It had a champagne shallot vinaigrette which was fantastic.
I had to try the Boca Oysters which were cooked Rockefeller Styler and they were phenomenal. You really can’t go wrong ordering oysters, and these were just perfect.
For my entree, I ordered the scallops, which had brussels sprouts and truffle. The flavor of this meal was absolutely amazing and the Brussels were caramelized perfectly. My mom ordered the Amish Chicken which had risotto and carrots — the flavor of her chicken was delicious as well.
Somewhere throughout the meal, I ordered an Aperol Spritz which was great. We also ordered the creme brûlée which is always incredible.
Boca exceeded my expectations. I had been there before for my first martini experience, and I was so overwhelmed by how beautiful it was, so I was excited to finally try the food there. It’s the perfect place to go on a fancy dinner and the atmosphere is just great all around.
