Cala

On a short trip to Scottsdale with the family, I decided to make a reservation at Cala because I had heard great things about it. Now, I have to have a disclaimer that the service was terrible here and we must have caught them on a super busy night, but the tasty food made up for it.

We started the meal with a round of drinks - bourbon, Prosecco, Sauvignon blanc, and beer around the table. I took a Sauvignon Blanc recommendation from my mom - it was crisp and delicious.

For our appetizers, we tried the Flaming Saganaki with cheese, lemon, and homemade focaccia; and the Whipped Ricotta with basil pesto and focaccia too. The table was pretty split on which one of these was our favorite, but I loved the different flavors in the two dishes.

We all ordered something different for our main meals and everyone at the table loved their food choices. The table had the Waygu Bolognese, Lumache a la Vodka, Chilean Seabass, Moroccan Braised Chicken, Wild Isle Salmon, and the Little Gem Salad.

Though the beginning of the meal started a bit rocky, the delicious food made up for everything. I loved all of the different flavors there were to try. We all enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere of the restaurant.
