Teak
Teak is the perfect fancier sushi and Thai food restaurant for any occasion.
I have been to Teak twice now, the first time I met up with a few friends for dinner and it was delicious. I began with trying the Asian Mojito which has rum, lychee sake, fresh mint, club soda, and lime juice. It was such a unique flavor with the lychee and the fresh mint made it pretty refreshing.
For my meal – since this was before my actual Thai food craze – I ordered the shrimp vegetables which had black tiger shrimp, broccoli, corn, cauliflower, mushrooms, peppers, and rice with Thai brown sauce.
The most recent time I had dinner at Teak I made a reservation for one and ate by myself. My experience was pretty great except for the fact that I was still carded when I ordered a drink.
I mean c’mon, I was by myself – have a little pity on me. Anyway, I ordered the Lychee Teak Margarita and it was a bit too sweet for me.
The real reason I decided to come to Teak again was that I heard that the dim sum was delicious, so I had to try it. I started my meal with the Pan Fried Pork and Veggie Dim Sum. This was seriously so good and definitely made the trip worthy.
I had to try some sushi because I had not yet, so I went with the Angry Dragon Roll. This roll had shrimp with tempura and spicy tuna topped with crab, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. This roll was fantastic and was not too spicy for me to eat.
Although I was incredibly full from the meal at this point, I had to order the pad Thai because it has been my new craving. I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken at level 2 heat – which I wished I would have gone a bit higher – but it was delicious.
I have come to realize that Pad Thai pretty much tastes the same anywhere you go, but that means it’s just always going to be good.
As I said initially, Teak is the perfect place for fancier sushi and Thai experience. I have tried a bunch on the menu and everything had been great, and there are plenty of options for everyone.
