Abigail Street: Part II
Abigail Street has officially taken the top place of my favorite restaurant in Cincinnati. I know I have already written about my amazing first meal, but I went back and tried completely new drinks and food that are worth writing about.
By request of my dinner date of the night, Kara, we went to Abigail Street for our Saturday night dinner. First things first, when we got there the wait was three hours, so we traveled to a bar for drinks and the table was ready in 40 minutes, which was a good omen for our meal.
We started the dinner with some of the signature cocktails, the Sangria Blanca for me, and the Gin Fizzing Lifting Drink for Kara. I never usually order sangria, but this was absolutely delicious with the perfect amount of bubbles in it and yummy fruit. Kara’s fizzy drink was super refreshing too and had good flavor.
Usually, I would recommend the delicious hummus and pita bread at Abigail Street, but we went with the Ricotta and Honey with bread. Wow. This was one of the most delicious spreads that I have had. It was so creamy and had the sweetness of the honey – the perfect mix.
We also ordered the Mussels Charmoula which had tomato, saffron, herbs, grilled bread, and mussels. The sauce that the mussels were in was the same as I had the first time I dined here and it was so good you could drink it. Also, these were the largest mussels that I have had – all in all it was amazing.
Abigail Street is the perfect restaurant for any time and for people who enjoy any type of food. It’s a Mediterranean restaurant, but there are so many options that if that genre is not your favorite, you will still find plenty of food to enjoy. My drinks and food were delicious here and I cannot wait to go back and try some more different options.
