I have found the hidden gem of Cincinnati.

I want to start by saying that I know many people know about Aladdin's Eatery, but I have just now discovered how amazing it is.

The first time I went to Aladdins, I had just ordered takeout from the one in Hyde Park — and it was delicious. After that experience, my roommate and I decided to go to the one in Over the Rhine.

We had the best experience there. One of the best parts about it was that the seltzers were $3 which is just unheard of. After we figured out the drink deals, we knew we were going to love the place.

We drank the Astra Seltzers from a local brewery there which were amazing. They had so many different flavors and we tried them all.

We began our meal by trying the hummus, fried spicy cauliflower, falafel, and dawali. All of these were delicious, but the best was the spicy fried cauliflower which had tahini lemon dressing and hot sauce and it was amazing. This is definitely my favorite item on the menu.

The hummus was super standard with some pita bread to dip in it, the falafel was fresh and the crispness of the outside was great. The dawali was unlike anything I have tried before. It was rolled grape leaves stuffed with rice, chickpeas, tomatoes, and parsley with feta cheese on top.

One of the best parts of the meal was the waiter coming up to our table and asking if we liked tequila shots while setting Patron shots down.

Anyway, we wanted to try one of the pita pizzas. We decided on the Ali Baba Pitza which had baba gannouj topped with roasted eggplant, feta, sliced tomatoes, and olives. This pizza was good but definitely had some unique flavors to it. I had never tried baba gannouj and I was happy I did.

Because we were spending as much time here as possible to drink the cheap seltzers, we decided to spend more time at Aladdin's and order dessert. We tried the baklava cheesecake which was good, but I wished we would’ve just gotten the regular baklava instead.

All in all, Aladdin's is one of my new favorite places to eat at. The food is fresh and all of the flavors are phenomenal. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lively and we loved spending hours here while we tried all of the drinks and food.
