Alpana

Alpana is already a great spot for dinner and wine, but I recently had the chance to experience its brunch menu, and it did not disappoint. From the coffee to the decadent dishes, this Chicago brunch spot is perfect for an upscale weekend meal.

I started with a vanilla latte, a great way to begin the meal. But the real showstopper was the Cinnamon Roll for the table. It had the ideal balance of textures—crispy on the outside, warm and gooey in the center, with just the right amount of sweetness.

For my main course, I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, featuring two poached eggs, Maryland-style crab cakes, crispy breakfast potatoes, and hollandaise sauce. The crab cakes had a delicate, mild flavor that paired beautifully with the rich hollandaise, making for a satisfying and indulgent dish.

Alpana’s brunch menu is both diverse and elevated, offering a mix of sweet and savory options perfect for any brunch outing. Whether you’re in the mood for mimosas, lattes, or handcrafted cocktails, Alpana serves up drinks that perfectly complement its chef-driven menu. With a welcoming atmosphere and exceptional food, it’s an ideal spot for a weekend brunch in Chicago—whether you're dining solo or with friends.
