Anjou
It is obvious that I love finding new cocktail bars in Cincinnati, and Anjou is now one of my favorites.
Right as I walked into the door I knew it was going to be a new favorite spot of mine. The inside decoration was crisp and the atmosphere was high energy.
One of the best parts about Anjou is that the menu has a picture of what the cocktail looks like right next to it, so if you want a drink that is in a coupe glass, you can know which drink to order.
I ordered A Ghost of Time which had blood orange-infused mezcal, orange liqueur, grapefruit, and lemon bitters. The drink was delicious and with super smokey flavors. Bailey ordered the She-Wolf — mainly because it came with an ice cube in the shape of a rose. Her drink had pear liqueur, gin, ginger liqueur, herbal liqueur, elderflower liqueur, and lemon.
We wanted to order an espresso martini, but the waiter had recommended one of their signature drinks that were similar. We ordered the Caffè Elena which had aged rum, amaro, creme de cacao, cold brew, dry curaçao, and bitters.
This drink had many unique flavors and was fantastic. I loved trying a different version of an espresso martini.
Of course, I had to go back to Anjou because I wanted to try more of the drinks. This time I ordered an Aperol Spritz which was great. My friends ordered the She-Wolf and then the Bill Murray which had tequila, pisco, agave, lime, pineapple-mango shrub, and salt.
Anjou is the perfect place to try some unique cocktails. I loved the atmosphere and all of the different flavors that were in the drinks.
