Armitage Alehouse

Armitage Alehouse is one of my favorite meals that I have had in Chicago. I loved the winter, cozy atmosphere of the restaurant, and the food was remarkable. We started the meal with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc for the table.

We ordered the Délice de Bourgogne & Truffle Honey with triple cream, soft-ripened cheese, and country sourdough toast which was amazing. We also had the Alehouse Chopped Wedge with egg, bacon, bleu cheese, and buttermilk ranch.

Next up was the Truffle Bucatini with burgundy truffle and pecorino.

Now, for the best part of the meal, the Oxtail and Red Wine Pot Pie with root vegetables and bone marrow. I don't know the last time I had a pot pie, and now I will be craving it constantly. I loved the flavors inside, and the oxtail was tender and phenomenal.

Of course, we had to order some dessert cocktails. I ordered the espresso martini with tequila, a regular espresso martini for Lucy, and a dirty vodka martini for Emily.

I had pretty high expectations for Armitage Alehouse, and the restaurant exceeded them greatly. I loved all of the food I tried, and the pot pie was incredible. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is cozy, and the perfect winter weather place to dine at.
