Bar La Rue

After dining at La Serre a few months ago, I was eagerly awaiting the opening of its sister restaurant, Bar La Rue, in Fulton Market. This restaurant has an incredible atmosphere, offering food options similar to its sister restaurant but in a more casual and relaxed setting.

We kicked off our girl's night with a bottle of refreshing rosé, which set the tone for the evening. Our starters included a Shrimp Cocktail, Bougie Chicken Nugget, and Little Gem Caesar. These dishes were perfect for sharing, and I especially loved the freshness of the shrimp cocktail.

For the main course, we shared the Royale with Cheese—a delicious smash burger topped with dijonaise, caramelized onion, and pickles. The Provence Style version is a must-try, where the burger is served in a pool of gruyere cheese fondue. It was an absolute game-changer.

During our meal, we also enjoyed some cocktails. I opted for the Pamplemousse Paloma, while the rest of the table enjoyed the Strawberry Spritz. Both drinks were refreshing and paired well with our meal.

To end on a sweet note, we ordered the Crepe with Nutella and fresh vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect dessert to cap off our dinner.

Bar La Rue lived up to my expectations. The menu offers elevated takes on classic dishes, making it an ideal spot for a fun dinner with friends. The lively atmosphere added to the overall experience.
