Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar
A champagne bar mixed with a book store – need I say anymore?
Before going to Asheville, I researched different wine bars and Battery Park Book Exchange kept coming up. I didn't put too much thought into it until one of the locals told Bailey and me that it’s a champagne bar and a book store in one – we were sold.
After being seating by the bar area, we took a look at the massive drink menu that the champagne bar had. I figured that I had to get champagne, so I got the rosè brut and Bailey ordered the prosecco.
I loved the champagne I ordered, how could I not, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was amazing. There was an “old-timey” or “Gatsby” feeling in the bar area with hints of red and old-fashioned decorations. The entire vibe of the place was incredible and we loved just sitting there and listening to the music playing.
We wanted to try another drink and saw there were some specialty cocktails they made. We decided to order the "Secret Garden." This was sparkling white wine with hibiscus syrup and flower inside. As you can imagine, this cocktail was delicious as well and perfectly fit the theme of the bar/book store atmosphere.
We decided to walk around after finishing our drinks, and the book store was giant. There were so many old books that were just interesting to look at. The entire ambiance of the book store and bar was phenomenal, and it was such a unique activity to do. I loved being able to enjoy some yummy drinks and look around at all the different books they had. It was such an interesting concept for a place that was actually really fun.
