Bouquet Restaurant
My second time going to Bouquet Restaurant was mainly induced by a photo of the restaurant’s dessert board, but I decided to try some more food there as well. Grace and I ordered some Aperol Spritzes from Bouquet which were refreshing.
We decided to split the Summer Tomatoes small plate which had fresh everything including tomatoes, pickled cucumbers, capers, peppers, basil whipped tofu, and croutons. This dish had more flavor than I had anticipated and all of them went together well.
For my main meal, I tried the Scallop Pasta with scallops, edamame, Parmesan, and lemon zest. This was super lemony but I loved it, and scallops are always my favorite. Grace ordered the Ohio Valley Burger which had pimento cheese on top. It also came with the most delicious potato wedges with cheese and garlic on them.
Now, for the real reason, we came to Bouquet - the dessert board! The board came with almost an “inside out” apple pie with ice cream, sautéed apples, and oats on top; Devil’s Food Cake; and a Bread Pudding Filled Croissant.
All of these desserts were ones that I would not necessarily order, but I was so happy to try them. It all tasted so fresh like it was right out of the oven.
My second time at Bouquet was delicious, to say the least. I loved the dessert board, and the other dishes we got to try were also great.
