Bourbon and Bones

Bourbon and Bones is a restaurant that caught my eye every time I drove by it. There is always a line out the door to get in, so I made a reservation for my last night in Scottsdale.

As you can probably figure out, Bourbon and Bones is known for having bourbon and meat. I saw there was Eagle Rare on the menu, and I told my dad and brother that they needed to try it. Needless to say, and I quote, that it is the smoothest bourbon they had ever tasted. I tried the Tekiwi drink with had tequila, kiwi, lime, lemon, and mint in it. My drink tasted almost like a smoothie, but it was super good.

I have to give jack some credit because he took this ~artsy~ picture of his bourbon with the menu and now wants commission off my post.

For an appetizer, we ordered the oysters, which were super good, but not as flavorful as the ones I had at the beginning of my trip. The dressings to put on the oysters were great – I only ate the strawberry chimichurri sauce, but my brother and dad loved the "atomic horseradish."

For the main course, Jack got a giant ribeye, my dad got a filet, and I ordered the scallops. I absolutely loved the scallops – they were perfectly cooked. We also got a side of Brussel sprouts with bacon for us to share.

For dinner, Jack and I both got a glass of the Cabernet Sauvignon and it was so tasteful. I’m definitely easing more into red wines and I have really loved the ones I have tried. After dinner, I ordered a refreshing Aperol spritz, and Jack ordered a spicy tequila drink with lemon and lime and it was so delicious I will have to order that at the next restaurant I dine in at.

Bourbon and Bones was a great atmosphere for a Friday night dinner. I enjoyed my meal, but I did ruin my appetite a bit from the appetizer dip I made back at home before leaving. I love all of the drinks and drink options it was a perfect last meal in Scottsdale.
