Cedar

Cedar Restaurant was one of the more surprising finds for me because I had never heard much about it before a few weekends ago. One of the best things about Cedar is that when the weather is nice, they open the huge windows which makes a nice atmosphere.

Just like every other breakfast place around Cincinnati, the wait is always long at Cedar. Lucky for us, they had a bar on the back porch where we could order some breakfast cocktails.

I decided to try the House Bloody Mary which was peppery and delicious.

Once we were seated, many of us wanted to order the espresso martini which had vodka, espresso, half and half, coffee liqueur, and whipped cream. The presentation of the drink was phenomenal, but the drink was super strong in either the coffee or the vodka.

When we decided to go to Cedar for breakfast, we knew we had to try the Cinnamon Roll Flatbread which is exactly as it sounds — it was a buttered flatbread with walnut spread, walnut sugar crumbles, vanilla icing, and powdered sugar. This was phenomenal and an amazing appetizer for brunch.

For breakfast, I ordered The Hangover with breakfast potatoes, chorizo, avocado, sunny eggs, crema, cilantro, jalapeño, and pico. We also had some goetta burgers and the chicken and waffles as well.

Cedar was the perfect brunch for a nice day out and when you have a group of people with you. Cedar had plenty of drink and food options that all looked and tasted great.
