Cincinnati Weekend Picks

A weekend of friends visiting town means that I need to pull out all of the stops for food and drinks. We started the weekend dining at Losanti for some delicious pasta.

There were lots of drinks going around - dirty martini, margaritas, Aperol spritz, and I ordered the Oaxacan with tequila, mezcal, cherry, brown sugar, and orange bitters. For our appetizer, we had the Kale Caesar and the Wedge Salads and both of these were phenomenal. We all ordered some different menu items for dinner, but I had the shared Vodka Rigatoni and Truffle plates of pasta which were just as good as they sound.

After dinner, we had reservations at Ghost Baby and enjoyed lots of Espresso martini.

When we weren’t white ready to go home yet, we finished the night at Fifty Fifty Gin Club which was such a good atmosphere to catch up with friends.

On Saturday morning we needed a little recovery food and decided to have brunch at Goose and Elder. I love so many of the items on their breakfast menu, so it was the perfect place to bring a group of people. We all had our drink of choice, bloody marys, beer, and mimosas. Most of the table ordered the Goetta Hash with onion, potato, bacon, gravy, and mozzarella topped with a poached egg.

Once dinner came around, we had to go to Teak because it’s my friend’s favorite. For an appetizer, we ordered Lettuce Wraps and Coconut Shrimp which were amazing. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai because it’s one of my favorites.

It was fun showing people some of the gems that Cincinnati has to offer. There were plenty more places we could have gone, but it will just have to wait until the next trip. All of these restaurants and cocktail places had options for everyone to enjoy.
