Cindy's Rooftop
Cindy’s Rooftop has one of the best views in Chicago. Luckily, Lucy made a reservation and we got the best seat in the house.
Cindy’s also has delicious brunch drinks and food that we were so excited to try. We started brunch with mimosas and they came in a coupe glass which gives major points in my book.
We ordered the cinnamon bun to share before our meal and it came steaming hot on a skillet. The flavors were sweet and the bun was doused in a maple glaze.
Lucy decided to order the Avocado Toast for her meal, and it was of the best avocado toast I have tried. It had goat cheese, citrus, serrano, pickled fennel, and pistachio on it and the goat cheese was the best part. It was a perfect mix of all the stand-out flavors.
I decided to order the Buttermilk Pancakes which had cashew mousse, seasonal jam, and brûlée banana. I guess I did not read the menu well because I am allergic to cashews — thankfully nothing came from that. The pancakes were super fluffy and sweet.
After a few mimosas, we decided to try the Prickly Rose cocktail which had gin, persimmon liqueur, prickly pear, lemon, and prosecco. The color of the drink was beautiful and it was refreshing with the fruity and sparkling flavors.
Although Lucy and I were stuffed and did not want any more food, I saw these chocolate chip cookies at a table nearby and absolutely had to try. The cookies were phenomenal — they came all warm and squishy.
Lucy and I spent hours at Cindy’s with the most beautiful view and trying delicious food and cocktails. It was such a great atmosphere especially for a Friday at brunch time. I loved all of the food and drinks we tasted.
