Coffee Emporium
I have found my favorite coffee cake in Cincinnati at Coffee Emporium. Coffee cake is one of my favorite desserts, and I have tried it at a few places in Cincy, but the best I have found is here.
Coffee Emporium has a few locations, one being downtown that I walk to frequently, and another in a cute neighborhood. I love this coffee shop for a few reasons 1. one of the locations is within walking distance for me, 2. the other location is built in a house.
Being that I have been to Coffee Emporium a few times, I have tried some different items. The first time I went I ordered the iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it was an amazing addition to a Sunday walk with my roommate.
The next time I went, I knew I wanted to try the coffee cake. As I inched forward in line, I saw someone order the last piece of cake. This was almost a day-ruiner, but they put out an entirely new coffee cake right as I walked up.
The best part was that they asked if I wanted them to warm up the cake, and, of course, I said yes.
I also ordered a vanilla and caramel latte with oak milk.
Once again, I was craving coffee cake, so I walked to Coffee Emporium on a cold, rainy day to enjoy some. This time I ordered a hot chocolate - delicious - and the coffee cake had apples in it AND they warmed it up for me again.
I had been wanting to go to the Hyde Park location because I knew it would be cute, so my roommate and I finally drove up there on Sunday.
The line is always far out the door, so we waited until we finally got to see the inside. It was super cozy, mainly because it is in an old house.
I ordered a caramel macchiato with oak milk and a coffee cake muffin.
Coffee Emporium is one of my go-to coffee shops because they always have coffee cake and it’s within walking distance for me. All of its bakery items look delicious, so maybe I will branch out, but for right now I am loving the cake.
