Duck Duck Goat
I have heard a great amount about all of the Chicago restaurants that have the word goat in them. One of the constant statements is that it is delicious and you cannot go wrong with what you order.
I was excited to try Duck Duck Goat because Lucy and Jacob had not been before. Although we were not extremely hungry for this dinner, all of the food was delicious.
We started the meal with some cocktails. I ordered the Water Dragon which had tequila, Cointreau, cucumber, ginger, and Fresno. The cucumber and ginger in my drink make it taste refreshing. Lucy ordered the Violet Femmes with vodka, cosi rosa, creme de Violette, hibiscus, and soda.
For starters, we ordered the Jiaozi which was beef short rib and bone marrow potstickers. These were delicious and had a great flavor.
We also tried the Duck and Goat Spring Rolls which were also delicious and had unique flavors.
Duck Duck Goat has a menu where you order multiple items and share them with the table. We started with the Beef Slap Noodle which had beef, noodles, and some vegetables with spices on top. This was not my favorite item we ordered, but it was still good.
The best part of the meal was the Duck Fried Rice with duck meat, vegetables, and a duck hard-boiled egg. The flavor of the fried rice was incredible. I loved the meat and vegetables that were mixed with the rice as well.
Although we did not have any room in our stomachs, we still had to order the Chocolate Bao for dessert. This was a perfect end to the meal, and I wished I had saved room to enjoy it more.
Duck Duck Goat is a delicious Asian Fusion restaurant that has incredible and unique flavors to all of the food. I loved the different types of meat and vegetables in most of the dishes because it forces you to try things you have not had before. The atmosphere was great inside and there are options for everyone at the table.
