I found a new Italian-ish restaurant in downtown Cincinnati that my roommate and I decided to give a try for our Friday night dinner.
We started our meal with the bruschetta and some drinks. I ordered an Aperol Spritz and Grace got the Raspberry Rum Mule. Our drinks were delicious and my spritz was perfectly mixed. The bruschetta had pesto, tomato, onion, cilantro, balsamic, and cheese – of course.
Both of us could not decide what to get for our meal, so we asked the waitress for some recommendations. I ended up trying the Bolognese pasta, which is out of character for me considering I don't usually love red sauce. The pasta was just so-so, but the presentation of it was immaculate. Grace ordered the Gorgonzola and Pear Pizza which looked absolutely delicious but was just O.K. as well.
I must say, the presentation of all of the food was amazing, it just lacked a bit of flavor.
It began to rain after we ate our dinner, and being that we didn't want to walk home in the rain, we sat at the bar for a bit. We made friends with a few people at the bar and ended up stayed there for a while to wait out the rain. We enjoyed a few more drinks while inside the restaurant, rather than sitting at the patio, and the atmosphere inside was great. I wished we would have sat inside for our meal because it was more lively.
