Formento's
Formento's, a classic gem in Chicago’s Fulton Market, was next on my restaurant journey. Known for its rich flavors and vibrant atmosphere, this Saturday night dinner lived up to the hype.
We began with a round of crafted cocktails and shared several appetizers that set the tone for the evening. The burrata was creamy, the fritto misto perfectly crispy, and the focaccia bread served with garlic confit and olive oil was a highlight.
For the main course, we shared the Chicken Parmesan and the Paccheri pasta with vodka sauce, finished with golden bread crumbs. The combination of the crispy chicken and vodka sauce made for a perfect pairing. We also had one of the steak options, which looked just as impressive.
To finish, we treated ourselves to a peanut butter cookie paired with an espresso martini—a phenomenal way to conclude a meal packed with incredible flavors.
Formento's blends traditional Italian recipes with a modern touch, offering an upscale yet inviting dining experience. The extensive menu, lively ambiance, and exceptional cocktails make it a must-visit spot in Fulton Market for foodies and casual diners alike.
