Gino & Marty's
Gino & Marty’s was such a delicious restaurant to kick off the weekend in Chicago. I am still thinking about how delicious this meal was, and I can’t wait to go back to try more.
We started the meal with a few cocktails, Prosecco for Lucy and Emily. Bailey ordered The Hugo with Prosecco, elderflower, mint, cucumber, and citrus. I had the Calabrian with reposado tequila infused with pepper calabrian amaro, mezcal, and lemon.
For some starters, we ordered the Pane (Bread Service) which came with delicious dips of olive oil and garlic, tapenade, and butter with honey. We also tried the Fagiole Verde Salad with green beans, arugula, and whipped ricotta.
For the mains meals, Bailey ordered the Meatballs with whipped ricotta accompanied by La Campagna Salad with spinach, prosciutto, gorgonzola, almonds, pears, and craisins.
For the rest of the table, we ordered Spicy Gnocchi with vodka sauce, Cacio e Pepe, and Chicken Parmesan. These plates were phenomenal! I loved the flavor of the spicy vodka sauce, the Chicken Parmesan was delicious, and the Cacio e Pepe with rigatoni noodles was just amazing.
Somewhere throughout the meal, there were more orders of Prosecco and Espresso Martinis for the table during dessert. I adored the glasses that the Prosecco came in, and the martinis were more on the coffee side but still delicious.
Gino & Marty’s had such incredible food for everyone to try, and all of the cocktails were great as well. I loved the lively atmosphere of the restaurant making it the perfect spot for a weekend dinner with friends.
