La Carbonara

For our final meal in Italy, we dined at La Carbonara for some traditional-style pasta. We were given this recommendation and told that it was one of the oldest restaurants in Rome.

We started the meal with some prosecco for Bailey and sauvignon blanc for me. They also had some delicious bread with olive oil and balsamic to dip.

We began with some mozzarella which was delicious as it always was in Italy. I loved how creamy the cheese was, and it went perfectly with our bread too.

For our main meals, we both ordered the Carbonara (but with short noodles per our waiter’s recommendation), and then we ordered the Cacio e Pepe to split. This was seriously the best pasta ever, and I will be dreaming about it for a while. The carbonara was delicious and I loved it with the shorter noodles.

We had to have our last cappuccino of the trip and it was delicious as always.

La Carbonara was a perfect recommendation to try some traditional Italian food. The plates of pasta were phenomenal, and I loved the entire atmosphere at the restaurant.
