La Serre
La Serre is a newer restaurant in Fulton Market with an unbelievable drink and food menu. I was pleased with how delicious all of the food we ordered at La Serre was, and I would love to go back to try more options.
We began the meal with cocktails, of course, and I couldn't resist ordering the Smoke & Spice, a mezcal-infused drink featuring eucalyptus, lemon, and black pepper. If you are a follower of City Spritz, you know that I love anything with mezcal in it, and this cocktail was perfectly created.
To kick off our meal, we had the Seafood Tower for three, a magnificent display of oysters, shrimp, crab legs, and lobster. Each bite tasted fresh showing the quality of the seafood and restaurant dining experience.
For our main course, we had the Gnocchi Parisienne with basil pistou, semi-dried cherry tomato, parmesan, and pine nuts, as well as the Roasted Tomato Chablisienne with radiatore, crispy bacon, and tomato creme. Both dishes exceeded expectations, with the gnocchi containing a perfect texture and the tomato pasta captivating with its rich sauce.
As if our meal couldn't get any better, our waiter surprised us with a complimentary dessert – the Warm Apple Galette with salted caramel and vanilla ice cream.
La Serre left a lasting impression with its impeccable cuisine and lively ambiance. From the freshness of the seafood tower to the richness of the pasta dishes, every aspect of the meal was remarkable.
