Local Cantina
For Cinco de Mayo, Grace and I wanted to try a place we hadn’t been to before and landed on Local Cantina in OTR.
Grace and I sat at the bar and ordered the spicy margaritas which were perfectly spicy and sweet.
We also had to try some of the salsa and queso while we waited for our tacos to be ready. The house-made chips were delicious, and I love that Local Cantina had complimentary salsa.
For my tacos, I had the Birria with spicy oil and shredded onion; Hong Kong Phooey with teriyaki chicken, pineapple salsa, sesame seeds, avocado, and sriracha; and the Tempura Shrimp with lettuce, queso fresco, and sweet chili.
Grace ordered the Birria; Mac Attack with mac and cheese, fried chicken, and chipotle lime ranch; and Cantina Fish with fried fish, jalapeño slaw, and chipotle cream.
Wow, these tacos were phenomenal. I loved the flavors of all of the tacos I tried and the Tempura Shrimp was my favorite. I absolutely loved this meal at Local Cantina because there were a bunch of different tacos to choose from and they all had delicious flavor.
