Lola's
One of the first coffee shops I went to in Cincinnati was Lola’s Coffee Shop. My favorite part of the shop is that it’s walking distance from my apartment and there are always tasty treats.
I have been to Lola’s a few times now because it’s so easy to get to when I don't want to drive somewhere. The first time I went, I asked the barista what she recommended to put in hot chocolate, which she told me gingerbread. That was a mistake.
It tasted like fireball in hot chocolate.
Other than that, I got this tasty caramel brownie with marshmallows on top which made up for my poor choice of hot chocolate flavor.
The next few times I went to Lola’s, I went during the Christmas season and my all-time favorite Christmas movie was playing in the background – White Christmas. Immediately my spirits were lifted and I ordered a marshmallow hot chocolate and read my book.
My favorite part of Lola’s is when I get a spot in the nook in the corner. I was able to cop a spot there the last time I went while I finished a book and enjoyed the dulce de leche croissant and a regular hot chocolate.
Lola’s is the perfect coffee shop for me to be within walking distance from because I always love the vibe there. One of the best parts of Lola’s is that it is also a bar, so if you’re there late you can move from the coffee to a glass of wine. Lola’s is a sweet little local place to visit in Cincinnati that always has a lively atmosphere.
