Losanti
Losanti is an absolutely delicious restaurant that is perfect for any occasion.
I have dined at Losanti a few times now, and it was amazing both times. First of all, I love all of the decorations and design, and the layout of the restaurant is unique because it’s almost like a house.
The first time I went to Losanti, we were able to snag a table with no reservation - luckily - and had the most flavorful food. I started the meal by ordering one of my favorite white wines — the Drylands Sauvignon Blanc.
We also decided to get an order of the Burrata which had date and walnut tapenade, garlic honey, ciabatta bread, and basil. Wow — this was phenomenal and the perfect starter for the meal.
For dinner, I decided to order the Gnocchi Al Forno which had truffle, pancetta, and sage with the gnocchi — it was such a great flavor. The rest of the table ordered the Truffle with spaghetti, black truffle, and pecorino and the Orecchiette which had lamb sausage, saffron cream, roasted tomatoes, and Parmesan.
All of these dishes were delicious and had such unique flavors that differed from one another.
The second time I went to Losanti was with my mom — a great sign because I only want to take my parents to the best places.
We started the meal with the Focaccia which I had never had before. It was a super fluffy bread loaf with roasted tomato, basil, and Parmesan. My mom and I also split the house salad which was fresh and actually pretty good. The salad had salami, pepperoncini, olives, Parmesan, and Italian vinaigrette. We both loved it!
For dinner, I ordered the Truffle Pasta this time and my mom ate the Bolognese. Both of these were great, but they do add a sort of “sweet” flavor in the pasta which is a bit different.
Now, to the best part — dessert! This was one of the best dessert experiences I have had in a while, and the desserts here were one of the main reasons that I wanted to take my mom here.
We ordered the skillet cookie — which never, ever disappoints, and the waitress convinced us to order the Butter Cake as well. This cake was perfectly prepared and had such great flavor. I know why it’s one of the most popular desserts there because it was delicious.
One fun part about the restaurant is that the bill comes in a book where you can write a little note, so of course, I had to put City Spritz in there.
Like I said before, Losanti is a perfect restaurant for any occasion. It can be a super fancy meal with steaks and oysters, or you can grab dinner there with friends and not have to worry about spending too much. I definitely would recommend Losanti to anyone because there are tons of different food options for everyone.
