Losanti Pt. II

Per my mom’s request, I took my parents to Losanti for their final dinner visiting me in Cincinnati. I started with some Bordeaux Blanc and my dad had some bourbon.

Whenever my dad and I see Mussels on the menu we always have to try them, they came with saffron cream, roasted tomatoes, arugula, and ciabatta. I love saffron sauce and all of the flavors were delicious together.

We also ordered the House Salad which my mom loves with lettuce, salami, pepperoncini, olives, parmesan, and Italian vinaigrette. The salad tasted super fresh and it was just as good as we remembered.

For dinner, my mom and I split the Filet Mignon which was amazing. It came with roasted garlic as the perfect addition. My dad ordered Petite Filet “Au Poivre” with mashed potatoes and he absolutely loved it. We also ordered the Gnocchi Al Forno with truffle, pancetta, and sage. I loved all of these dishes and the gnocchi was phenomenal.

Now, for the best part — dessert! We ordered the Skillet Cookie and the Gooey Butter Cake. Butter cake is my favorite and I love that Losanti always has it on the menu.

Losanti is one of my favorites to go to, and my mom clearly loves it too. I was happy to try different things from the restaurant and it was all incredible.
