Louvino
Brace yourselves for this one – this might be my top choice of food in Cincinnati at this time. Not to be dramatic, but the food and drinks at Louvino are some of the best options and ideas that I have seen.
I’ve been to Louvino twice and each time have gotten the same drinks but different food, and I was always more than happy.
First of all, if you are a restaurant and you have wine flights, you get points in my book. Louvino had many different choices of flights, but I went with the bubbly, and my friend got the white wine flight.
The food was even better than the drinks – we ordered the loaded tater tots which doesn't sound like it would be that great, but it was a deep-fried loaded potato. We also split the crab cake sliders which had the perfect amount of flavor and went well with the rest of our meal.
One of the best surprises on the menu was the cookie dough filled beignets. I love finding a dessert that is out of the ordinary, and the bites were just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. I also got an Aperol Spritz to accompany the yummy dessert.
The second time I dined at Louvino was for my birthday dinner.
We all began the dinner with wine, and I loved the bubbly flight so much that I just had to get it again. It was just as good as I had remembered. We ordered the goat cheese dip with bread to go with the wine, which is exactly as good as it sounds – I could have eaten the dip with a spoon.
For our meal, we ordered the loaded tater tots and our own plates as well. I got the scallops with the fried green heirloom tomatoes which, once again, was phenomenal. All of the different flavors were put together so well, and I loved it. Of course, we had to order the cookie dough beignets and an Aperol Spritz for dessert to cap off the delicious meal.
Louvino holds the highest City Spritz ranking – at the moment. It’s one of the restaurants that offers everything I love – wine flights, yummy desserts, and all of the entrees that I have tried have been delectable. City Spritz Ranking – 7/10
