Mayfel's
Mayfel’s might be one of the yummiest breakfast’s that I’ve had before.
The Louisiana-themed restaurant was recommended to Bailey and me by multiple Uber drivers and locals in Asheville. We met up with a few friends, who were in Asheville for the weekend as well, for brunch at Mayfel’s.
Of course, we had to order some beignets, which were absolutely delicious. I’ve only had beignets in New Orleans, and these were just as good or even better. They were the perfect amount of fluffiness.
There were so many interesting items on the menu that it was difficult to decide which to try. Ultimately, I went with the crab cake eggs benedict – wow this was delicious. I’m not sure if I was just super hungry from the night before, but this breakfast was amazing. The crab cakes had so much flavor and the combination with the eggs benedict was perfect.
I’m so happy that our friends decided to meet for breakfast at Mayfel’s because otherwise Bailey and I might not have gotten a chance to dine there. It was the best place to catch up with friends we hadn’t seen in forever, and the food was just phenomenal. I definitely understand why it was recommended to us by many people, and I would love to try the non-breakfast food because I bet it is fantastic.
