Nichola's Ristorante & Pendleton Parlor

The much needed Friday foodie experience with my best friend was needed more than anything.

Looking at my long list of restaurants that I want to give a try, I picked Nichola’s Ristorante in Over the Rhine. This was a place I have been wanting to try for a while, but I was waiting for a special occasion. Although there was no special occasion, it was worth finally going to.

Like Pepp & Dolores, I was skeptical when they have bread on the menu, but not for free – once again what kind of Italian place does this? Of course, we got the bread and it was delicious with many different flavors that I had not had before.

I ordered an Aperol Spritz with my scallops for dinner and both were amazing.

My one complaint is that whenever you order scallops anywhere they only give you 2-4, but it was still worth it and had amazing flavor. City Spritz Ranking – 4/10

We decided to not go with dessert at Nichola’s, so we went to the Pendleton Parlor Cookie Dough Bar. Now, I do love myself some cookie dough, but what I have found is that it is always way too rich for my liking – which is very hard to do. We both ordered what the worker told us that she loved – the brownie batter with peanut butter and Oreos. In hindsight, I should have known that this would be too rich, but I ordered it anyway. I would go again and get something more to my liking.

Hi, thanks for stopping by!

Not that this isn't obvious, but I am not a professional writer - I don't claim to be one either. Cut me some slack on my writing for a little bit. It will get better!
