Olio e Più

Olio e Più is a newer restaurant in Chicago, and I was super excited to try the Italian food they had to offer. We started with some cocktails, and I had the Vulcano with mezcal and bitters. The rest of the table had an espresso martini and a dirty martini.

For our appetizers, we ordered the Tagliere Piemonte which was similar to flatbread with burrata, arugula, and truffle paste. We also had the Burrata Mediterraneo with burrata, cherry tomatoes, black olives, balsamic, pesto, and croutons. Both of these dishes were super flavorful, and I loved how fresh everything tasted.

For the main dishes, we ordered the Chitarra alla Carbonara, Gnocchi Pesto, and Polpette Polenta e Funghi (Lamb Meatballs with Mushrooms). The meatballs are an absolute must-try because the flavor of the mushrooms and lamb was incredible, and the polenta was an amazing addition.

I loved the meal at Olio e Più because everything tasted incredibly fresh. The burrata and meatballs were my favorite dishes we tried, and I loved the plates of pasta as well. The restaurant had such a lively atmosphere which made for a great dinner spot.
