Otto's
I decided to travel over the bridge to try the much-anticipated restaurant, Otto’s. I heard about Otto’s multiple times, and even tried the brunch (coming soon), but I was most excited to try their dinner menu when my parents came to visit.
First of all, the decorations in Otto’s are amazing – it’s like a tiny boutique with pretty art all over. We started the meal with some drinks my dad ordered bourbon, of course, and I ordered the tequila with grapefruit drink – I can’t remember exactly what the drink entailed, but it was refreshing.
Every restaurant is obsessed with putting Brussel sprouts on the menu, and Otto’s does it best. It had bacon and brown sugar and they were cooked to absolute perfection. My parents and I couldn't stop talking about them for the whole weekend.
For the main meal, I had to order the braised short ribs because I kept seeing plates of it fly by me, so I figured that it has got to be good when so many people order it. It was delicious and perfectly cooked as well. I loved the rich, smokey flavor and the mashed potatoes with roasted carrots were perfect to accompany the meat.
My dad ordered the filet which comes with some vegetables and this bleu cheese cream sauce which was fantastic and he loved it. My mom ordered the scallops which I tried and were cooked perfectly and the risotto was phenomenal.
Although I was incredibly full from my meal, I saw the BonBonerie Opera Cream Cake on the menu and I could not pass up that offer. I also wanted my parents to try it too. Like always, the cake was delicious and it was the perfect way to top off our amazing meal at Otto’s.
Otto’s is the perfect restaurant for a nicer dinner. My parents and I both loved our food and experience there, and I would definitely go back to try more of the food because it was all fantastic.
