Pleasantry
Pleasantry was another restaurant that I had been waiting to reopen ever since the shutdown of everything.
The restaurant is beer and wine only, so no Aperol Spritz’s for us, but we each ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
We saw the bread + butter on the menu, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was fresh from Allez bakery and the butter was freshly salted.
The reason Bailey and I went to Pleasantry was because of the Spaghetti which had lump crab, chili crisps, peanuts, and scallions. It was described to us as “wine bar pad thai” which had us both sold on trying it. The pasta was delicious with a good balance of flavors from the spices, peanuts, and crab.
Pleasantry is in an area off the beaten path in OTR which can be a little different, but it was a cute neighborhood block with a bunch of people around. I loved the minimalist atmosphere, and the food we tried was delicious.
