Pops for Champagne
I love finding a Happy Hour spot to unwind after work, so Pops for Champagne was next on my list to try. Drawn by its charming name, I walked to this restaurant to indulge in some delicious bites and, of course, some champagne. I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive happy hour menu.
I began by ordering a glass of champagne and some oysters. The champagne was delicious as expected, and I appreciated the simplicity of the oysters and their dressing options. The chimichurri and cocktail sauce were mild and fresh, pairing well with the oysters.
Next, I tried the Slider with cheddar, caramelized onions, and dijonaise, along with the Cheese Curds. While these items were more casual, they also paired wonderfully with the champagne. The flavors and accompanying sauces were impressive.
Lastly, I ordered a glass of sparkling wine with some caviar. This was my first time trying caviar, and my initial reaction was mixed. The flavor was fishier than I expected, but I could see why people enjoy pairing it with different foods and drinks.
Pops for Champagne is a fantastic post-work spot to have relaxing drinks and food to enjoy. The lively atmosphere was filled with fellow after-work happy hour goers, creating a lively ambiance. I love when a happy hour menu offers a variety of options, allowing me to try multiple food and drink pairings during my visit.
