Ristorante Lineadombra
For our final meal in Venice, we decided to try Lineadombra which was recommended to us by multiple locals. We started the meal with some wine, of course, Bailey ordered Prosecco and I ordered a white wine similar to Sauvignon Blanc.
We ordered the Burrata cheese with black truffle on a bed of artichoke hearts and dried tomato pesto and this was delicious. I loved everything that was on this dish and had never had burrata, artichoke, and truffle all together.
We also were given this great dish that tasted like a crab bisque.
Since we wanted to have seafood for our main dish, we wanted to try some pasta to share. We ordered the Gragnano ‘paccheri’ pasta, tiger shrimp, cherry tomatoes, taggiasche olives, and capers. This dish had such great flavors together and the shrimp was super fresh.
For our main course, I ordered the Rosemary-roasted octopus with wild rocket, vanilla cherry tomatoes, and crunchy almonds and Bailey ordered the Turbot fillet with purple potatoes, turmeric oil, and pomegranate. I know people are scared of eating octopus, but the waiter recommended it to me, and I am so happy he did. It was so tender and flavorful.
For our dessert, we had to order a cappuccino to help ourselves stay awake. The coffee was delicious as always and they gave us honey to put into it which was a nice touch.
The waiter also gave us a complimentary glass of wine and a traditional Venetian cocktail with Amaretto in it.
Lineadombra is definitely a must-eat-at while in Venice. The fish was super fresh and all of the menu items that we tried were delicious. We were able to taste a bunch of different foods and flavors that all complemented each other well.
