Rose Mary

Once again, Lucy absolutely killed it with the dinner reservations. We went to Rose Mary in the Fulton Market area for our second dinner together.

Starting off with some cocktails, I ordered the Tequila Tendencies with Espolon Blanco, Darna Pelinkovac, grapefruit, lime, and soda. Hope ordered the Main Squeeze with strawberry vodka, Campari, hibiscus, and lemon. Lucy and Jacob ordered beer and wine.

Rose Mary is a shareable tapas restaurant, which I love, so we ordered a bunch of items on the menu to split.

Starting off with the Spicy Coppa which had pea shoots, Parmigiano Reggiano, and lepinja. The flavors were super fresh and a great starter to the meal.

Next came the Grilled Clams with a smoked spring onion butter, and wow these clams were phenomenal. The flavors and the textures went together perfectly.

Now we begin getting into the pasta. First, we tried the Gnocchi with beef cheek pasticada, Pasig sir, and basil. The sauce on the gnocchi tasted like a sweet chili sauce, and I loved it with the gnocchi.

We also ordered the Crni Risotto with squid ink, lobster brodo, confit squid, and tarragon. This risotto had great flavor and the squid on top was delicious.

Somehow we were still hungry, so we ordered one last item — Pork Ribs Pampanella. This was an amazing dish with Calabrian chile agrodolce, walnuts, and a cabbage and yogurt relish. These were super good and all of the flavors from the relish to the blaze on the ribs were great.

Somehow in the mix of that, I also ordered an Aperol Spritz which went perfectly with all of the dishes we tasted.

Rose Mary was such a delicious and fun meal. The atmosphere was great and being in the Fulton Market area is the perfect location. All of the different types of food were delicious and everything was a hit. There were many more items on the menu we wanted to try, so I definitely want to go back.
