Salazar Restaurant
After weeks of telling myself I need to go to dinner at Salazar Restaurant, I finally got the chance to go to kick off the weekend.
Salazar's is always booked up with reservations, so Grace and I decided to head there for an early dinner on Friday. We sat at the bar, and the restaurant decorations and atmosphere were great.
We ordered drinks and I got the In Bloom which had gin, hibiscus, lime, St. Germaine, and bubbles. Grace ordered the Beet the Curve which had vodka, Aperol, beet, lemon, and sage. These drinks were almost too beautiful to drink and were so delicious. Neither of the drinks tasted too strong and the flavors blended perfectly.
We decided to order a few things to try for our meal and started with the Fried Pimento Cheese Fritters which were as good as they sound. They were so creamy on the inside and crisp on the outside which was amazing.
The next menu item we ordered was the falafel, tomato, cucumber, pickled red onion, feta cheese, and lemon-tahini yogurt all on top of the house-made sesame peta bread. This was similar to a Mediterranean salad and it was super fresh and delicious.
For our main course, we decided on the Arborio Risotto which had roasted mushrooms, celery, pecorino romano, and ramps. This risotto was phenomenal. The presentation was great and the flavors were absolutely delicious.
Salazar’s lived up to the hype that I had given it. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great and the food and drinks were even better. The drink and food menu was amazing and there are so many more items that I want to try.
City Spritz – 7/10
