Sapori Trattoria

In a city known for its massive dining spaces, it's always refreshing to find smaller, boutique restaurants with a neighborhood charm. Sapori Trattoria, a hidden gem in Chicago’s Italian dining scene, was next on my list, and I was not disappointed by the inviting atmosphere and delicious food.

We dined at Sapori Trattoria on a Wednesday, which meant taking advantage of their half-off select bottles of wine. Along with our wine, we enjoyed complimentary bread and butter while deciding on our meal.

We kicked off the meal with two standout appetizers: the Caesar Salad and the Meatballs. The meatballs were easily my favorite part of the meal, featuring a perfect combination of ricotta, marinara, and fresh basil—simple, yet packed with flavor.

For our entrées, we opted for the Bucatini Carbonara and the Vodka Rigatoni, both of which had bold, rich flavors that balanced each other out beautifully. The creamy Carbonara paired perfectly with the hearty Vodka Rigatoni, making for a satisfying meal.

If you're craving authentic Italian pasta in a cozy neighborhood setting, Sapori Trattoria should be at the top of your list. With an extensive pasta menu and dishes like the meatballs that leave a lasting impression, it’s the perfect spot for pasta lovers looking to enjoy a relaxed meal in the city.
