Shires' Rooftop

Shires' Rooftop has been on my list forever, so my mom and I decided to try the restaurant for dinner. I started with a crisp glass of sauvignon blanc which was perfect for the warm summer night.

For our appetizers, we had Pan Seared Crab Cakes with roasted corn chow-chow, watermelon radish, lemon, and dill crèma. We also had the Strawberry Arugula Salad with blueberry white stilton, cipollini onions, crisp prosciutto, and rhubarb vinaigrette. Both of these dishes were delicious and had such fresh flavor.

For the main course, my mom and I both ordered the Pan-Seared Halibut on an English pea purée, wild mushrooms, fava beans, carrots, and pink peppercorn. This was phenomenal because of the great flavor and all of the vegetables were the perfect touch.

We also split a side of the Potato Gnocchi topped with smoked yellow tomato sauce and parmesan. This was a unique sauce on top of gnocchi, and I loved the super smokey flavor.

Though we were pretty full from the meal, we had to order the Chocolate Hazelnut Beignets and wow these were incredible.

Shires' Garden pleasantly surprised me with how delicious everything was. I loved all of the different choices of food items on the menu. and the experience on the rooftop was great. I definitely would want to try some more of the menu and enjoy another meal.
