Sumo Maya
The first dinner we had in Scottsdale was called Sumo Maya. Mackenzie and Jack had been wanting to try, so this was a perfect time.
I started the meal with the Spicy Peach Margarita which had chile de arbol infused sauza blue tequila, combier peach, peach puree and bitters, Thai basil, and house limonada. This was an interesting take on a spicy margarita, but the sweetness from the peach mixed with the spicy went well together.
We decided to order the oysters, crispy calamari, and guacamole for some starters for the table. All of these tasted delicious, especially the oysters, but everything was in super small portions so it was a bit difficult to share with the whole table.
For dinner, I decided to order the Spicy Tuna and the Rainbow Roll which had tuna, hamachi, salmon, shrimp, and snow crab. The rolls I ordered were a little bland tasting, but I loved what Lucy and my dad ordered. They ordered the Spicy Crab roll which was super delicious and very spicy.
Sumo Maya was a tasteful restaurant to try in Scottsdale and I loved the entire atmosphere inside the restaurant. There were multiple different styles of food options and everything we tried tasted pretty great. I love being able to try different flavors of drinks and foods, and Sumo Maya definitely delivered.
