Sunday Afternoon Picks

For my mom’s last day in Cincinnati, we began our morning with a cappuccino for her and a vanilla latte for me from Hyde Perk. Mom loved her cappuccino, again, and I ended up ordering the specialty latte of the month – Honey Lavender Julip.

The Honey Lavender Julip was delicious and had the perfect mix of honey, lavender, and coffee flavors.

Our next stop was a request from my mom – Peace, Love, and Little Donuts. Some of the best donuts I have had in Cincy are here, so we had to go and try some more flavors. I ordered the Health Bar and Strawberry French Toast donuts – absolutely amazing. My mom ordered the Reese’s Cup and Pecan donuts which were as delicious as they sound.

Needless to say – Peace, Love, and Little Donuts lived up to the hype I gave it.

After shopping around at boutiques and the bookstore, my mom wanted to go to another coffee shop and try an iced coffee for the first time. I decided to take her to Bow Tie Café because it has great coffee, and we had not visited the Mount Adams area yet.

I ordered us both an iced vanilla latte – mine with oat milk – and my mom and I both loved it.

Sunday was full of coffee, books, and donuts – some of my favorites. I loved being able to show my mom around Hyde Park and get to enjoy some of my favorite places in Cincy.
