Sushi Nova

Since moving to Chicago, I’ve realized that the all-you-can-eat sushi scene here is surprisingly delicious. Typically, all-you-can-eat sushi doesn't have the best reputation, but Sushi Nova is the exception. This restaurant truly stands out for offering fresh, flavorful sushi that exceeds expectations.

I recently dined at Sushi Nova with a few coworkers, giving us the perfect opportunity to sample a large portion of their menu. We started with refreshing Lychee Martinis, paired with appetizers like the Kani Salad, crispy Crab Rangoons, Pot Stickers, and Shrimp Shumai—each one packed with flavor.

As for the sushi, we went all out, ordering a variety of rolls, including the Godzilla Roll, Fire Dragon Roll, Chicago Roll, and Volcano Roll. One of my personal favorites is always the Unagi, which didn’t disappoint this time either.

A vibrant assortment of sushi rolls, including the Godzilla Roll, Fire Dragon Roll, and Chicago Roll, artfully plated at Sushi Nova.

Fresh Unagi (eel) sushi served on a plate at Sushi Nova, perfectly grilled with a rich, savory glaze.

What I loved most about Sushi Nova was the diverse range of sushi rolls we tried. Each one brought its own unique flavor and texture, creating a well-balanced, satisfying experience. Sushi Nova has quickly become a go-to sushi spot for me in Chicago, and I’m already planning to return to explore even more of their exciting menu options.
