Tavern on Rush

Tavern on Rush has reopened near its iconic Chicago location, and it was time to experience the revamped spot. We dropped in on a bustling Friday evening, managing to snag bar seats to for food, cocktails, and some people-watching in this vibrant setting.

We decided to make it a martini night, diving into several classic cocktail options from Tavern’s menu. We sipped on expertly crafted espresso martinis, dirty martinis, and cosmopolitans—each martini with its own distinct flavor and twist, making for a well-rounded experience.

To accompany the cocktails, we ordered the Caesar Salad and Tavern Burger—a pairing that didn’t disappoint. The Caesar Salad was fresh, crisp, and light, while the Tavern Burger was substantial and packed with flavor. Together, they created a satisfying balance that’s perfect for any night outing.

Fresh Caesar Salad with romaine, croutons, and grated Parmesan served in a white bowl on the bar.

My first experience at the new Tavern on Rush delivered exactly what makes this spot popular in Chicago: excellent cocktails, delicious food, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The bar seating was ideal for soaking up the scene, and the restaurant’s energy only added to its charm. If you’re looking for a classic yet vibrant Chicago dining experience, Tavern on Rush’s new location is not to be missed!
