The Roosevelt Room
After receiving many recommendations from my Uber, I decided that I wanted to try The Roosevelt Room for some cocktails with my friend, Bekah.
I loved the decorations and atmosphere here because it gave speakeasy and Gatsby vibes. The decor had gold accents all over and the menu was based on different decades which was a great touch.
I decided to try the Naked & Famous from the 2000s-Present decade for our first drinks, which had mezcal, Aperol, chartreuse, lime, mole bitters, and long pepper tincture. This cocktail was delicious and I loved the smokey flavor of the mezcal mixed with the other fruity flavors.
Bekah ordered the Clover Club from the 1920s-to 1933 decade with gin, vermouth, raspberry syrup, lemon, lychee, egg white, and salt tincture.
We also wanted to try an espresso martini here because we knew it would be great. Bekah went with the usual espresso martini, but the waiter convinced me to try something different.
I ordered the Jingu Bang (not from a decade but the signature drinks) which had tequila, Linie aquavit, banana liqueur blend, lemon, toasted sesame oil, egg white, and grated cinnamon. This was a unique flavor, but it was pretty good.
The Roosevelt Room was the perfect cocktail bar to try in Austin. I loved the atmosphere and all the different cocktails to choose from. The decades-themed drinks fit the bar well and I wanted to try more of the different options.
