Rose&Mary, Haven Cafè, Mom 'n 'em Coffee
My weekend roundup of hot chocolate and bakery sweets was the highlight of my weekend.
As my roommate and I were walking to a new bakery that recently opened, we noticed that there was a coffee shop with a line outside the door – we mentally made a note that we must stop there after we get sweets at the bakery.
Rose&Mary Bakery
We made our way to the Rose&Mary Bakery which was one of the cutest places I have seen. Mint green walls and white tile floors led to the pastries where I got the goat cheese and fig croissant and a malt chocolate chip cookie. My roommate got the sourdough cinnamon roll with the malt cookie as well. We sat and ate at the bakery and the owner was so grateful to every customer he had – it was very refreshing to see such a sweet family business. I would definitely take the walk to Rose&Mary again, but earlier in the day so that I can try some of the goodies before they run out.
Haven Cafè
Of course, the cookie and croissant were not enough – my roommate and I stopped at the coffee shop with the long line, Haven Café. Although we weren’t able to sit inside, the vibe was the hip and new coffee shop feel that I love. I got my hot chocolate and it was a nice hand warmer for the chilling walk home.
Mom 'n 'em Coffee
My Sunday coffee shop pick was Mom ‘n ‘em Coffee & Wine. I’ve been wanting to come to this café for a while, and it was in a place in Cincinnati that I hadn’t been to before. This coffee shop is high on my “come back to” list because they had coffee cake – my absolute favorite cake ever. I got a slice of the cake and a hot chocolate which came in a mug – that gives them points as well. I was able to sit at the café while reading my book with great music playing in the background. I will definitely come back and bring a friend here to try it next time.
