Tilly Bagel Shop
Tilly Bagel Shop has, without a doubt, some of the best bagel sandwiches I’ve tasted in Chicago. My original plan was to try their Chicken Caesar sandwich—and wow, it did not disappoint. This bagel features a breaded chicken cutlet, parmesan crisps, fresh greens, banana peppers, chive and bacon cream cheese, and Caesar dressing, all served on a cacio e pepe bagel. The combination of flavors and textures was perfection, from the crispiness of the chicken and parmesan crisp to the unique bite of the cacio e pepe bagel itself.
But after standing in line and browsing the menu, I couldn’t resist ordering another bagel: the Crispy Potato sandwich. This one was a flavor-packed combination of a hash brown, scallions, crispy onions, salsa verde, and jalapeño cream cheese on a tomato grilled cheese bagel. Every bite delivered a satisfying crunch, with the salsa and cream cheese tying everything together beautifully.
What sets Tilly Bagel apart is not just the creative sandwich combinations but the variety of bagel and cream cheese options. From the savory cacio e pepe bagel to the uniquely Chicago-inspired bagel, the choices are as exciting as they are delicious.
I can’t wait to go back to Tilly Bagel Shop to explore more of their menu. Both sandwiches I tried exceeded my expectations, and I’m already counting down the days until my next visit.
