Torchio Pasta Bar

I knew that I would love any restaurant that has the words pasta bar in the name, so I was incredibly excited to try Torchio Pasta Bar. I went with a few friends to try some cocktails and Italian dishes which were a hit.

I started with the Bocaza which had Banhez Mezcal, Green Chartreuse, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, Lime Juice, Pineapple Juice, Smoked Jalapeno Liqueur, one dash of Habanero Bitters. I loved the spicy flavors in the drink, and it complimented the mezcal perfectly.

For appetizers, we ordered the Saffron Arancini with bolognese & mozzarella with a Calabrian chili garlic tomato sauce. We also had the Whipped Ricotta & Tomato Fig Jam Crostinis. The arancini were remarkable, and I loved how light the crostini flavor tasted.

One of the best parts about Torchio was how many different pasta options there were to choose from. The table ordered:

  • Spaghetti Carbonara with pancetta, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and egg yolks

  • Bucatini Arrabbiata Burrata with Calabrian chili, tomato sauce, red onion, garlic, and red pepper flakes topped with burrata cheese & chili infused olive oil

  • Rigatoni all Vodka

I truly loved all of these dishes, and they complimented each other well. The arrabbiata was probably my favorite because the spice was a delicious touch to the meal.

We enjoyed the meal at Torchio, and the atmosphere was extremely lively and fun on Friday night. It was nice to have a ton of different meal items to choose from so that we all could try some bites that we wanted. I need to go back for that amazing arancini.
