Tre Dita
Tre Dita is one of Chicago’s toughest reservations to secure, so I was eager to finally experience its highly acclaimed Italian menu. Although we dined in the bar area, we had full access to the dinner menu, making for a great dinner experience.
We started with a round of cocktails before diving into the Schiacciata Rossa Focaccia, a crispy and flavorful bread topped with pomodoro, herbs, and olive oil. Next, we enjoyed the Polpette di Brasato, tender braised short rib meatballs, and the Fiori di Zucca, tempura squash blossoms stuffed with ricotta cheese, which were incredibly light and crispy.
For my main course, I ordered the Tortelli di Patate, filled with potato, taleggio, and Parmigiano Reggiano, finished with burro e salvia (butter and sage). This dish was incredibly unique—the delicate pasta and rich, creamy filling paired beautifully with the light sauce.

The rest of the table opted for the Roasted Chicken, a great dish for sharing, along with the Gnocchetti di Spinaci and Raviolini di Ricotta. Each dish had distinct flavors, and the freshness of the ingredients truly stood out.
Tre Dita exceeded expectations, delivering an exceptional Italian dining experience. From the crispy focaccia to the expertly crafted handmade pasta dishes, every bite was packed with bold flavors.
